Job Description

What is a Store Driver?

Entry-level store position responsible for supporting the delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role involves delivering parts, assisting with tasks and inventory processes in the store. This position can be part-time or full-time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities

• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
• Pick and stage parts for customer orders
• Pick up returns and cores
• Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
• Collect credit accounts daily

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
• Stocking including truck and back stock

Success Factors

• Basic driving and navigation skills
• Ability to use delivery systems
• Friendly communication skills
• Ability to locate and stock parts
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Operating inventory systems and store equipment

Essential Job Skills

• Effective communication and relationship-building

Prior Experience

Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Valid driver’s license and fleet safety certification required.

Physical Demands

Must be able to walk, stand, talk, hear, handle objects, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment

Primarily indoor work, with occasional outdoor exposure to weather, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and other hazards. Moderate noise level.
