What is a Store Driver?

An entry-level store position responsible for supporting the delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role includes delivering parts, assisting with tasks and inventory processes in the store. This position can be part-time or full-time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
2. Pick and stage parts for customer orders
3. Pick up returns and cores
4. Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers
5. Collect credit accounts daily

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
• Stocking, including truck and back stock

Success Factors

• Basic driving and navigation skills
• Ability to use delivery system software
• Friendly communication skills
• Ability to locate and stock parts
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Experience operating inventory systems and store equipment

Essential Job Skills

• Effective communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and catalogs
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Flexible availability including days, evenings, and weekends

Preferred Experience

Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Must have a valid driver's license and be fleet safety certified.

Physical Demands

Primarily walking or standing, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Must have good vision and physical dexterity.

Work Environment

Mostly indoor work, with occasional outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions. Exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals, and other hazards may occur, with a moderate noise level.
