What is a Store Driver?

An entry-level store position responsible for supporting the delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role involves delivering parts, assisting with tasks and inventory processes in the store. This position can be part-time or full-time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
2. Pick and stage parts for customer orders
3. Pick up returns and cores
4. Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
5. Collect credit accounts daily

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
• Stock store and truck inventory, including back stock

Success Factors

• Basic driving and navigation skills
• Ability to use delivery system software
• Friendly communication skills
• Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
• Knowledge of safety practices
• Proficiency with inventory systems and store equipment

Essential Job Skills

• Effective communication and relationship-building with customers, peers, and management
• Ability to interpret safety rules, instructions, parts catalogs, and manuals
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with various units
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed

Preferred Experience

Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Must have a valid driver's license and fleet safety certification.

Physical Demands

Requires walking, standing, talking, hearing, handling, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Must frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, depth, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor tasks in various weather conditions. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, heights, chemicals, electrical hazards, explosives, vibration, and moderate noise levels.
