What is a Store Driver?

An entry-level store position responsible for supporting the delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role involves delivering parts, assisting with tasks and inventory processes in the store. This position can be part-time or full-time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
2. Pick and stage parts for customer orders
3. Pick up returns and cores
4. Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
5. Collect payments for credit accounts daily

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
• Stock shelves, including truck stocking and back stock management

Success Factors

• Basic driving and navigation skills
• Ability to use delivery and inventory systems

• Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently

Physical Demands

The role requires walking, standing, talking, hearing, and manual dexterity. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

The work is primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks exposed to weather conditions and potential hazards such as moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and electrical risks. Noise levels are usually moderate.
