What is a Store Driver?

An entry-level store position responsible for supporting the delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role involves delivering parts, assisting with tasks and inventory processes in the store. This position can be part-time or full-time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
2. Pick and stage parts for customer orders
3. Pick up returns and cores
4. Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
5. Collect credit accounts daily

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
• Stock store and truck supplies, manage back stock

Success Factors

• Basic driving and navigation skills

• Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Operate inventory systems and store equipment

Prior Experience

Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must have a valid driver's license and be fleet safety certified.

Physical Demands

Requires walking, standing, talking, hearing, handling, reaching, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Primarily indoor work, with occasional outdoor tasks in various weather conditions. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical risks, and noise levels are possible.
