Job Description

What is a Store Driver?

An entry-level store position responsible for supporting the delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role involves delivering parts, assisting with tasks and inventory processes in the store, and must be fleet safety certified. This position can be part-time or full-time.

Primary Responsibilities

• Safely deliver parts to customers
• Pick and stage parts for customer orders
• Pick up returns and cores
• Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
• Collect credit accounts daily

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
• Stocking including truck and back stock

Success Factors

• Basic driving and navigation skills
• Ability to use delivery systems
• Friendly communication skills
• Ability to locate and stock parts
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Operating inventory systems and store equipment

Essential Job Skills

• Effective communication and relationship-building

Prior Experience

Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must have a valid driver’s license and be fleet safety certified.

Physical Demands

Requires walking, standing, talking, hearing, using hands, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Primarily indoor work, with occasional outdoor tasks in various weather conditions. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, heights, chemicals, electrical risks, explosives, vibration, and moderate noise levels.
