Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Avon, CT is seeking a delivery driver to pick, stage and deliver parts to pro customers and walk-ins. You will also handle returns, distribute sales flyers, collect credit accounts, and upsell products to raise transaction value.

You will build relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, maintain stock and organize back room inventories while keeping facilities clean and safe. Valid license and reliable attendance are required.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Automotive parts experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • English speaking and writing; Spanish a plus; strong customer communication.
  • Ability to work days, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers.
  • Pick up returns and cores.
  • Deliver flyers promoting sales and loyalty programs.
  • Collect daily credit accounts.
  • Build relationships with Pro customers and provide delivery insights.
  • Upsell and cross-sell to increase transaction value.
  • Keep store clean and stocked.
  • Stock truck and back stock; perform cycle counts.
  • Stay aware of inventory and new arrivals to assist sales.
  • Engage with walk-in customers to assess needs and suggest parts/services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
