What is a Store Driver?

An entry-level store position responsible for supporting the delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role involves delivering parts, assisting with tasks and inventory processes in the store. This position can be part-time or full-time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Safely deliver parts to customers
2. Pick and stage parts for customer orders
3. Pick up returns and cores
4. Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
5. Collect credit accounts daily

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
• General stocking, including truck stocking and back stock management

Success Factors

• Basic driving and navigation skills
• Ability to use delivery board systems
• Friendly communication skills
• Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Operating inventory systems and store equipment

Essential Job Skills

Prior Experience

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Physical Demands

The role requires walking, standing, talking, hearing, and manual dexterity. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical hazards, and noise is possible.
