Job summary

Aquent is seeking an experienced Store Designer to support the Global Store Design team in creating compelling, brand-right retail environments across North America. This role translates global design standards into store-specific layouts while maintaining brand guidelines and local code requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Approximately 3–5 years of relevant professional design experience, with retail project experience strongly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and SketchUp.
• Working knowledge of Enscape, InDesign, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed floor plans, storefront elevations, 3D models, renderings, and presentations that translate design concepts into store‑specific solutions.
• Apply established brand standards and global design guidelines across North American retail locations.
• Manage multiple store design projects simultaneously across different phases of the project lifecycle.
• Review architectural drawing sets, construction documents, and shop drawings for accuracy and adherence to design standards.
• Produce and revise drawings using AutoCAD and other design tools.
• Create 3D models, renderings, and presentation materials to effectively communicate design concepts.
• Coordinate with third‑party consultants to ensure design deliverables are completed accurately, on schedule, and within budget.
• Participate in project meetings and present design solutions and recommendations to cross‑functional partners.
• Collaborate closely with construction, purchasing, visual merchandising, store operations, and other internal and external partners.
• Identify potential issues that could affect project schedules, costs, functionality, or design integrity and proactively recommend solutions.
• Adapt quickly to changing business priorities, evolving store prototypes, and new materials or design requirements.
• Advocate for design integrity while balancing operational, construction, budget, and business needs.
• Stay current on retail design trends and apply relevant knowledge to project work.

Aquent is seeking an experienced Store Designer to support the Global Store Design team in creating compelling, brand-right retail environments across North America. This position translates global design standards and creative concepts into store-specific layouts and design solutions while maintaining established brand guidelines, design consistency, and local code requirements.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on retail store design and rollout experience, strong technical design capabilities, and the confidence to independently move projects forward. This person will join a collaborative team supporting an ongoing portfolio of retail projects, including the rollout and testing of new store design concepts.

This is a full-time, 40‑hour‑per‑week hybrid position, with in‑office attendance required Tuesdays through Thursdays.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Approximately 3–5 years of relevant professional design experience, with retail project experience strongly preferred.
• Previous experience supporting retail store rollouts or multiple‑location retail environments is highly desirable.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and SketchUp.
• Working knowledge of Enscape, InDesign, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Strong 3D modeling, sketching, rendering, and presentation capabilities.
• Ability to create, read, interpret, and review architectural and design drawings.
• Experience managing several projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of assignments, and proactively move projects forward.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams, consultants, and project stakeholders.

Team & Work Environment

This position will join a four‑person Store Design team supporting the North American retail channel. The team manages an ongoing pipeline of store projects and is currently piloting new design concepts.

A typical week will include a combination of project meetings, drawing reviews, drafting and design development, project coordination, and presentations to cross‑functional partners.
