Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Industrial Design from a CIDA-accredited program or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of dedicated retail design experience in a corporate or design consultancy environment.
• Proficiency in Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, AutoCAD.
• Strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce comprehensive designs from detailed floor plans to storefront elevations, adhering to guidelines and standards.
• Generate new concepts for store design elements including architecture, fixtures, storefronts, lighting, layout, and space planning.
• Prepare material takeoffs and communicate revisions to the construction team for accuracy and efficiency.
• Review construction drawings to ensure alignment with design intent.
• Present design proposals to leadership and incorporate feedback to refine concepts.
• Review site information from landlords and architectural drawings to inform decisions.
• Provide clear design guidance to purchasing and construction teams for seamless execution.

About the Role

In this pivotal role, you will be an individual contributor driving the aesthetic and functional design of retail spaces. You'll have the exciting opportunity to craft designs that align with established brand guidelines while also exploring innovative concepts for store architecture, fixtures, storefronts, lighting, layout, and space planning. Your work will be crucial in ensuring a cohesive and compelling brand experience, collaborating closely with construction and purchasing teams to bring your designs to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce comprehensive designs, ranging from detailed floor plans to impactful storefront elevations, adhering strictly to design guidelines and standards.
• Generate creative ideas and develop new concepts for various elements of store design, including architecture, fixtures, storefronts, lighting, layout, and space planning.
• Prepare material takeoffs and effectively communicate any revisions to the construction team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist in the meticulous review of construction drawings, ensuring alignment with the original design intent.
• Present design proposals to leadership, actively soliciting, analyzing, and incorporating feedback to refine and enhance concepts.

What You'll Bring

Must-Have Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Industrial Design from a Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) institution, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-5 years of dedicated retail design experience gained within a corporate environment or a design consultancy firm.
• Proficiency in Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, and AutoCAD.
• Strong command of MS Office Suite.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $41.14 to $45.71. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
