Job summary

Skill is seeking an accomplished Store Design professional to join a vibrant team in Columbus, OH. You will guide retail concepts from initial layout through final design intent, shaping storefront elevations and interior fixtures to elevate the brand experience across locations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform concepts into engaging spaces. A strong portfolio and proficiency in AutoCAD and Creative Suite are required.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of hands-on experience specifically in corporate retail design or a retail-focused design consultancy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Industrial Design from a CIDA-accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating floor plans, retail elevations, and store design concepts is absolutely required with your application.
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat), and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Produce comprehensive retail design packages, including detailed floor plans, storefront elevations, lighting schemes, custom fixtures, and spatial layouts aligned with brand standards.
• Generate fresh ideas for store architecture, visual merchandising fixtures, exterior designs, and layout solutions that enhance the customer journey.
• Partner with construction and purchasing teams to provide design guidance, generate material takeoffs, and communicate drawing revisions.
• Review landlord site information, consultant drawings, and construction documents to maintain the original design intent throughout project execution.
• Present design proposals to leadership and refine concepts based on feedback.
