Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Delivery Driver will deliver parts to a pre-determined group of customers. The driver should be friendly, courteous, and able to work well in a team environment. The Delivery Driver should aim to complete deliveries promptly while adhering to all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies.

Knowledge, Skills, Duties, and Abilities

• Deliver orders accurately to customers by driving a vehicle;
• Pick up cores and returns from customers, and process credits properly and accurately;
• Handle and report customer problems to the Store or Warehouse Manager;
• Report to work punctually and consistently;
• Perform basic vehicle care and maintenance;
• Maintain a valid driver's license and driving record that meet underwriting standards;
• Follow all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Driver's Handbook, and Fleet Safety Policy;
• Assist with special projects as requested.

Requirements

Conditions of Employment:

• High school diploma or GED preferred;
• Obtain and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) prior to employment;
• Complete a pre-employment drug test successfully.

Work Schedule

Flexible schedule required, including days, evenings, and weekends as needed to provide quality service and support business growth.

• Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment;
• Exposure to various environmental conditions and hazards;
• Moderate to heavy noise levels;
• Must be mobile and able to communicate effectively in English;
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and check fluids regularly;
• Follow all safety and driving policies and report accidents or injuries immediately.
