Job summary

Goodwill Southeast Georgia in Pooler, GA is hiring a Store Custodian. You will provide an exceptional cleaning experience that keeps locations clean, neat, and tidy. This full‑time role supports daily store operations and a safe, welcoming shopping environment.

Your duties include sweeping and mopping, sanitizing restrooms, cleaning sinks and break rooms, restocking supplies, and maintaining equipment. You’ll also dust fixtures, wipe windows, monitor inventory, and follow safety standards as

Qualifications

• Six months of custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills i.e. ability to communicate positively and consistently with the customer, co-workers and supervisor; delivering professional consistent results.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall cleaning experience of the store.
• Sweeping and mopping floors along with sanitizing bathrooms.
• Cleaning sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Restocking supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
• Emptying all trash cans and replacing liners, cleaning receptacles as necessary.
• Dusting and cleaning dressing rooms, store fixtures, office desks, furniture, etc.
• Cleaning windowsills and windows.
• Maintaining janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
• Responsible for monitoring inventory, cleaning supplies and paper products, for specific assigned work areas; re-supply when needed.
• Understanding and demonstrating the proper use of safety practices & ensure standards are maintained for the department.
• Actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established company policies and procedures.
