We are more than just a Parts Store and are looking for talented individuals to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person when customers enter for their automotive needs. You don’t need to be able to tear down engines (though that’s a bonus) – a background in automotive parts is helpful. This role is a great opportunity whether you want to build a career as a Parts Specialist, work full or part-time, or explore other opportunities within our company.

Responsibilities

1. Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone.
2. Assist team members with customer inquiries using your parts knowledge.
3. Deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
4. Bring energy and customer focus to our fast-paced stores.
5. Engage customers as they enter our retail stores.
6. Utilize technology such as computers, cash registers, and catalogs.

Ideal Candidate

• Enjoy helping customers with auto parts and service questions.
• Have experience in the automotive industry or enjoy working on cars and trucks.
• Willing to learn automotive parts if new to the industry.
• Seek growth opportunities within a team environment.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn.
• High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade courses are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong listening skills and empathy for customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, marine, or dealership work.
• Experience with inventory management and cataloging systems.
• Customer-centric mindset.
• ASE Certifications are a plus but not required.
