As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person when customers come in for their automotive needs. You don’t need to be able to tear down motors (though that’s a bonus), but a background in automotive parts is helpful. This role is a great opportunity whether you want to build a career as a Parts Specialist, work full or part-time, or explore other career paths with us.
What You Will Be Doing
- Providing auto parts solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone
- Assisting team members with customer questions using your parts knowledge
- Delivering outstanding customer care and interactions
- Bringing energy and customer focus to our fast-paced stores
- Welcoming customers and ensuring a positive experience
- Using technology such as computers, cash registers, and catalogs

What You’ll Need
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn
- High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
- Good listening skills and empathy for customers
Additional Preferences (Not Required)
- Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership work
- Experience with cataloging or inventory systems
- Customer-centric mindset
- ASE Certifications
