Join to apply for the Store Counter Sales (Part Time) role at NAPA Auto Parts

We are more than just a Parts Store and are seeking additional talent to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you will be the "face of the retail store" and the first point of contact for customers seeking automotive products and services. While you don’t need to be able to disassemble engines (though it’s a plus), having a background in automotive parts is beneficial. This role offers a great opportunity whether you want to build a career as a Parts Specialist, work full or part-time, or explore other career paths within our company.

Responsibilities
  • Assist retail and wholesale customers with auto parts questions in person and over the phone
  • Use your automotive parts knowledge to support other team members
  • Provide excellent customer service and create positive shopping experiences
  • Engage with customers in our fast-paced retail environment
  • Operate technology systems including computers, cash registers, and catalog systems
Ideal Candidate
  • Enjoy helping customers with auto parts and service questions
  • Have experience in the automotive industry or enjoy tinkering with cars and trucks
  • Willing to learn automotive parts knowledge if not already familiar
  • Seek growth and development opportunities within a team environment
Requirements
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn
  • High School Diploma or GED; technical/trade courses a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced retail setting
  • Strong listening skills and empathy for customers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, marine, or dealership work
  • Experience with cataloging or inventory management systems
  • Customer-centric mindset
  • ASE Certifications (a plus but not required)
