We are more than just a Parts Store, and we are looking for talented individuals to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales, you are the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person for customers seeking automotive parts and services. No need to be able to tear down engines, but a background in automotive parts is preferred. This role offers opportunities for career growth, whether full-time or part-time, or as a stepping stone to other careers within the company.
What You Will Be Doing
- Providing auto parts answers and solutions to retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone
- Assisting team members with customer questions using your parts knowledge
- Delivering outstanding customer care and interactions
- Bringing energy and a customer-focused attitude to our fast-paced stores
- Welcoming and engaging with retail customers to ensure a positive experience
- Using technology such as computers, cash registers, telephones, and paper catalogs

- Enjoy helping customers with their auto parts and service questions
- Have experience in the automotive industry or enjoy tinkering with or repairing cars and trucks
- Are willing to learn about automotive parts if you lack experience
- Seek a team environment with opportunities for growth
What You’ll Need
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn
- High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
- Good listening skills and empathy for customers
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership industries
- Experience in parts stores, auctions, retail, auto body/collision
- Knowledge of cataloging and inventory management systems
- Customer-centric attitude
- ASE Certifications (a plus but not required)
