Job summary

The Salvation Army in Lufkin, TX is seeking a Part-Time Store Associate with Benefits to help receive, sort, price and prepare donated items for display, and to assist customers in donating, selecting and purchasing store items. You will operate and maintain a cash register and help keep the sorting room organized.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and about one year of retail or warehouse experience (or an equivalent combination).

• One year retail or warehouse experience preferred.
• Or any equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Receives, sorts, prices and prepares donated items for display in the store; determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards.
• Assists store customers in donating, selecting and purchasing store items; operates and maintains a cash register.
• Responds to customer questions and maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the store and sorting room area.
