Job summary

The Arc of Butte County in Chico, CA is seeking a Store Clerk/Receiver to support daily retail operations, assist customers, and manage donation intake. The role involves stocking merchandise, pricing items, and maintaining a clean store and warehouse environment. Shifts run 8:00 AM–7:30 PM (Wed-Sat).

Pay rate ranges from $17.00 to $19.20 per hour. Schedule is full-time: Sunday to Thursday, with opportunities to work with individuals served by The Arc and participate in a mission-driven

Qualifications

• The candidate should have customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Ability to operate or learn point-of-sale systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay organized and manage time in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and professional customer service, including answering questions and operating the cash register
• Receive, sort, and process donated items such as clothing, bags, boxes, furniture, and household goods
• Research, price, and stock merchandise on the sales floor
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe store and warehouse environment
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
• Support donation intake and occasional community donation pick-ups
• Work alongside individuals served by The Arc, offering positive guidance and support in store-related tasks
• Follow agency policies, procedures, and safety practices
• Support general retail operations and team needs
• Other duties as assigned
