Job summary

The Salvation Army in Lewisville, TX is seeking a dedicated store associate for a full-time position. You will assist customers, stock shelves, rotate and display items, and help with donation receipts.

You will also perform cleaning tasks, answer the store phone politely, and participate in basic security while customers shop. A High School diploma or GED is preferred, with retail experience helpful.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail experience in a store setting is preferred or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist store customers in selecting and purchasing items.
• Stock, arrange, and display furniture, bric-a-brac, books, clothes and other products; rotate and/or rearrange stock as needed.
• Return items to proper locations and provide donation receipts when required.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks: sweep, mop, clean display racks, shelves, windows, storage areas and restrooms as needed.
• Answer the store telephone in a tactful and courteous manner.
• Assist with moving donations to storage area when needed and participate in basic security activities while customers shop.

Stock, arrange, and display furniture, bric-a-brac, books, clothes, and other similar products; rotate and/or rearrange stock as needed; return items to the proper location. Perform routine security activities while observing customers shopping in the store. May assist with moving donations to the storage area; prepare and provide donation receipts. Perform various cleaning activities, including but not limited to clean display racks, shelves, windows, mirrors, storage area; sweep and mop floors; clean other areas as needed. Answer the store telephone in a tactful and courteous manner.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred and experience working in a retail store preferred or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
