Job summary

The Salvation Army in Dallas, TX is seeking a full-time Store Associate to join our donations and retail team. You will help customers, stock shelves, and keep displays neat and inviting.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and retail experience. You will rotate stock, assist with donations receipts, and maintain clean aisles and checkout areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail experience preferred or any equivalent training/experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist store customers in selecting and purchasing items.
• Stock, arrange, and display furniture, bric-a-brac, books, clothes, and other items; rotate and/or rearrange stock as needed; return items to their proper location.
• Perform routine security activities while observing customers shopping in the store.
• May assist with moving donations to the storage area; prepare and provide donation receipts.
• Perform cleaning activities, including but not limited to clean display racks, shelves, windows, mirrors, storage area; sweep and mop floors; clean other areas as needed.
• Answer the store telephone in a tactful and courteous manner.
