Job description

Town Pump is looking for a motivated and outgoing Store Clerk to join our team. Town Pump is a growing company, with opportunities for career growth. The position is from 4pm-12am, Wednesday-Sunday.

As a Store Clerk team member, you will:

• Provide excellent customer service, handle cash and perform accounting duties, stock, price, rotate, and display merchandise, maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store, ensure store safety and security, and assist with deli food sales and preparation.
• Operate the computerized cash register, give correct change, scan credit cards, accept and process checks, and bag merchandise.
• Remember regular customers’ names and faces, answer and screen phone calls, monitor the store, detect shoplifters, and handle customer complaints.
• Stock shelves and coolers, complete shift work accurately, clean all areas of the store, handle vendor check-ins, follow protocols, and report any issues to the store manager.
• Maintain the parking lot, shovel snow, clean gas pumps, refill water and cleaning solution buckets, and perform other duties as assigned.
• Keep the hot dog roller, nacho and popcorn machines, condiment center, coffee, and fountain dispenser areas clean, stocked, and filled.
• Perform deli duties in smaller locations as specified in the deli job description.
