Job summary

Salvation Army Corp is seeking a full-time Retail Associate at our New Bern, NC Family Store. The role involves helping customers, processing donations, and handling sales on the floor with standard POS equipment.

You will maintain neat displays, ensure cash register security, and assist with various store duties as needed. The position requires a High School diploma or GED and retail experience is preferred; however, an equivalent mix of training and experience that demonstrates the needed

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and experience working in a retail store preferred
• Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Responsibilities

• Performs front-line customer interactions in our Family Store
• Operates Point of Sale equipment on the sales floor
• Sorts and tags donations for sale
• Assists store customers in donating, selecting, and purchasing store items
• Operates and maintains the cash register; responds to customers' questions
• Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the store displays
• Ensures the security of store items and the cash register
• Performs other related work as required

Schedule/Hours: Monday-Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (40 hours per week) - Havelock Store LocationThis position is responsible for:Performing front-line customer interactions in our Family Store.Operating Point of Sale equipment on the sales floor.
