Job summary

The GIANT Company in Manchester, PA is hiring a store cleaning associate to maintain office spaces, restrooms, break areas, and floors. You’ll review the shift schedule, prepare equipment, and follow PPE requirements to keep our Pennsylvania store clean and safe for customers and teammates.

This role focuses on reliability, following safety regulations, and operating cleaners and power washers, with opportunities to contribute to a healthy workplace and community.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this job and safety regulations.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift, check equipment and supplies required, and comply with PPE requirements.
• Clean and vacuum floors in the office and conference spaces.
• Clean and mop tile floors in restrooms and break areas.
• Remove all trash, operate compactor and bailer, clean up spills in the store, and use power washer to clean sidewalks.
• Dust and wash surfaces.
• Wash mirrors, glass, surfaces, floors, and equipment in all break rooms, lunchrooms, and restrooms.
• Resupply items as needed.
• Use floor cones to designate potentially hazardous floor conditions.
