Job Summary

TravelCenters of America provides a convenient, one-stop shopping experience with a wide selection of name-brand products, Grab ‘N Go foods, groceries, snacks, electronics, maintenance supplies, clothing, and gifts. The Cashier plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service to ensure travelers leave satisfied.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing great customer service in a fun, trusting environment
• Serving customers courteously, quickly, and positively
• Processing transactions on a POS register, maintaining a clean and stocked food/beverage area, and organizing merchandise
• Prioritizing tasks based on store needs
• Following safety guidelines and reporting unsafe conditions
• Building communication and rapport with team members and leaders
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Team-oriented and enthusiastic about working with others
• Basic computer/POS knowledge preferred
• Cash handling skills preferred
• Good verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
