As a store associate, you will provide excellent customer service while performing a variety of duties within the store operations to support the mission.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Punctual and dependable attendance.
  2. Provide excellent customer service to customers and donors.
  3. Properly distribute inventory from the back room to the correct areas.
  4. Ensure merchandise is stocked and presentable on the sales floor.
  5. Abide by the policies and procedures as set forth by Goodwill.
  6. Must be able to perform tasks according to work instructions.
  7. Ensure security of all company assets and donations.
  8. Perform general sales floor/production area duties and cross-train in all work areas.
  9. Adhere to cash handling procedures as outlined by Agency procedures.
  10. Greet and assist all donors/customers while directing complaints to management.
  11. Assist in loading and unloading of Goodwill trucks and trailers.
  12. Maintain store housekeeping to Agency standards.
  13. Attend training as required.
  14. Review and be familiar with Goodwill of Central Oklahoma safety policies, programs, and procedures and adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and safety codes. Attend safety training and meetings and report any unsafe work conditions, accidents, or injuries immediately.
  15. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or GED, preferred.
  2. Ability to speak, read, and write the English language.
  3. Desire to provide excellent customer service.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. Provides prompt and courteous customer service.
  2. Ability to apply company policies and procedures.
  3. Ability to stay organized and multi-task in an efficient manner.

This work is physical and requires the following activities: Standing, walking, twisting, bending, grabbing, and reaching for long periods of time; occasional squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, smelling, and visual acuity.

The ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds, or more with assistance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Works in a climate-controlled retail or production environment most of the time but will be exposed to airborne particles such as dust, mold, dirt, and pollen as well as extreme heat and cold.

Must be available to work during operating hours as needed for business operations. Work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and blackout periods which may vary from week to week as well as occasional overtime when approved by management.
