Job summary

RaceTrac is hiring a Store Associate in the United States (Bee Ridge area, Indiana). You will help keep the store clean, stocked, and running smoothly while delivering a welcoming guest experience at the register or self‑checkout.

The role supports part‑time or full‑time schedules with opportunities for growth and hands‑on training. Responsibilities include assisting guests, restocking, maintaining safety and hygiene standards, and supporting inventory and cash handling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or in progress).
• Previous experience in a fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment is a plus.
• Team player who takes initiative and enjoys working with people.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks like bending and standing.
• May be required to obtain and maintain food handler or alcohol server permits, depending on state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing friendly, prompt service at the register or self‑checkout.
• Suggest additional products to enhance guest purchases.
• Address guest concerns with urgency and involve managers as needed.
• Foster a team‑oriented, respectful work environment.
• Keep our stores stocked and fresh by ensuring food and beverage items are available and up to quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness in food prep areas and follow all safety regulations.
• Restock shelves, coolers, and display areas as needed.
• Keep the store clean and organized – maintain a clean, welcoming environment inside and out, and complete regular cleaning tasks.
• Assist in inventory management and restocking.
• Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately, process transactions, handle cash and card payments, and provide excellent guest service.
• Maintain a clean and organized cash register area, stocked with necessary supplies while adhering to all cash‑handling policies.
• Respond to guest concerns respectfully and escalates when necessary.
• Manage line lengths and respond quickly to requests to meet transaction expectations.
• Follow all written and verbal instructions to uphold food safety standards, thoroughly cleaning preparation stations.
• Proactively inform guests about promotional items to raise awareness and drive product engagement.
• Adhere to all RaceTrac policies and federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Respond openly to feedback from guests, teammates, and leaders to enhance performance.
• Be reliable by arriving on time and supporting teammates throughout the shift.
