Job summary

The Salvation Army is hiring a Store Associate at the NSC-Spartanburg Family Store in Spartanburg, SC. This part-time position offers $10.00 per hour and approximately 19 hours per week, with a varied schedule Monday through Saturday.

You will help customers donate, select, and purchase items; operate and balance the cash register; answer questions and keep displays neat, ensuring a positive shopping experience for every visitor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist store customers with donating, selecting, and purchasing items.
• Ring up sales at the cash register; collect money, count change, and issue receipts.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of displays; ensure security of cash and items.
• Explain store policies and assist with inquiries to ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
