Job summary

The Salvation Army Union Service Center in UNION, SC is seeking a Store Associate to welcome customers, assist with donations and purchases, and maintain clean, organized displays. You will operate a cash register, count change, and balance the drawer while ensuring security of cash and store items.

Typical duties include processing sales, providing tax receipts for donations, answering questions about pricing and policies, and delivering friendly, efficient service to every customer visiting

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; retail experience preferred.
• Experience working in a retail store is helpful.
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers with donations, selections, and purchases; operates cash register.
• Rings up sales, collects money, prepares receipts, and balances cash drawer.
• Prepares tax receipts and maintains sales records and vouchers.
• Explains store policies and answers pricing questions to ensure a pleasant visit.
• Assists donors by directing loading areas and issuing tax receipts.
