Job Description:

As a Store Associate, you will provide prompt, efficient, and courteous guest service, follow company policies and procedures, and sell merchandise while delivering on RaceTrac’s mission of making people’s lives simpler and more enjoyable. This individual helps to maintain a clean, guest-friendly environment inside and outside the store. The role of Store Associate can be part or full time and hours may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Earn up to $15.50 per hour for select locations and shifts.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service: Efficiently complete guest transactions at the cash register or self-checkout stations, suggest products that complement purchases, and provide a frictionless, elevated experience for guests.
2. Relationship Building: Foster positive and professional relationships with co-workers and guests, communicate respectfully, and maintain a team-oriented attitude.
3. Guest Concern Resolution: Address and mitigate guest concerns with urgency and involve managers as needed.

Food Safety & Maintenance:

1. Adhere to all RaceTrac, federal, state, and local safety-related regulations, including food safety regulations.
2. Ensure all food and beverage offers are available.
3. Clean food preparation areas and equipment to RaceTrac standards.

Store Cleanliness & Stocking:

1. Maintain a clean and fully stocked store to provide an elevated guest experience.
2. Clean inside and outside of the store.
3. Stock shelves and coolers and take inventory of shelf items.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED in progress or completed.
• 1-2 years’ work experience preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume, guest-focused, transactional environment preferred.
• Ability to take initiative.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and repeatedly bend, stand, and reach during work.
• May require obtaining and maintaining a food handler permit, based on local or state requirements.
• May require obtaining and maintaining an alcohol server permit, based on local or state requirements.
