This position is essential to the success of our retail stores. Store associates work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend suitable solutions. They are also responsible for resolving customer concerns promptly to ensure maximum satisfaction, staying updated on product features, and maintaining high standards of quality and visual presentation in the store. The role emphasizes delivering excellent customer service while meeting sales goals.

Job duties involve customer contact, which may include minors, and access to cash, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other items of value. Access may be supervised or unsupervised. Therefore, a review of criminal history is conducted to protect the business, its operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.

The selected individual will work at Store #1787 located at 901 Madison Street, Oak Park, IL 60302. This store is part of a group of stores, and the candidate may be asked to cover hours at our Cicero Store 1812, Garfield Ridge Store 3321, and Bridgeport/Ashland Store 3317. This is a part-time role with a starting pay of $16.40 per hour.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Legally authorized to work without sponsorship
• Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
• Ability to retrieve materials from shelves and lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 70 lbs occasionally
• Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
• Experience selling paint and related products
• Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
• Multilingual abilities, especially in Spanish

Responsibilities:
