Store Associate

Pay Rate Starting at: $15.50/hr. Rates of pay are determined by previous experience and labor contract seniority.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

1. Front End: The final point of contact with customers. As a cashier or cart clerk, your responsibility is to make a positive, friendly, and lasting impression.
2. Bakery: Slice, price, package, and display baked goods, ensure stock rotation and proper storage.
3. Pharmacy: Assist in providing health-related services, retrieve medications, label, record keeping, and maintain security of controlled substances.
4. Deli/Carryout Cafe: Fulfill customer requests, slice meats/cheeses, prepare products, and ensure proper storage and display.
5. General Merchandise: Stock shelves, create and maintain displays, organize backroom, including first aid, non-food, and seasonal items.
6. Grocery: Stock shelves, create displays, organize backroom.
7. Meat: Stock, store, rotate, and prepare meat products; assist certified meat cutters or apprentices.
8. Produce: Stock, store, rotate, water, and prepare produce; fulfill customer orders for produce platters.
9. Seafood: Stock, store, rotate, and display seafood; assist customers with seafood questions.

Minimum Qualifications

Effective communication skills; ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with customers and staff.
