Job Description:

As a Store Associate, you will provide prompt, efficient, and courteous guest service, follow company policies and procedures, and sell merchandise while delivering on RaceTrac’s mission of making people’s lives simpler and more enjoyable. This individual helps to maintain a clean, guest-friendly environment inside and outside the store. The role of Store Associate can be part or full time, with hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Earn up to $15.50 per hour for select locations and shifts.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service
   • Efficiently complete guest transactions at the cash register or self-checkout stations and suggest products that complement purchases.
   • Foster positive and professional relationships with co-workers and guests.
   • Provide courteous, frictionless, and elevated experiences for guests.
   • Communicate respectfully and maintain a team-oriented attitude.
   • Address and resolve guest concerns promptly, involving managers as needed.
2. Food Safety and Preparation
   • Adhere to all RaceTrac, federal, state, and local safety-related regulations, including food safety standards.
   • Ensure all food and beverage offers are available.
   • Maintain cleanliness of food preparation areas and equipment according to RaceTrac standards.
3. Cleaning and Stocking
   • Keep the store clean and fully stocked to ensure an elevated guest experience.
   • Clean inside and outside of the store.
   • Stock shelves and coolers, and take inventory of shelf items.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED in progress or completed.
• 1-2 years of work experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a high-volume, guest-focused, transactional environment preferred.
• Ability to take initiative.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and repeatedly bend, stand, and reach during work.
• May require obtaining and maintaining a food handler permit, depending on local or state requirements.
• May require obtaining and maintaining an alcohol server permit, depending on local or state requirements.
