Job description

This position is essential to the success of our retail stores. Store associates work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the right solutions. They are also expected to promptly resolve customer concerns, ensure maximum client satisfaction, stay up-to-date with product features, and maintain high quality and visual standards of the products and store. Store associates are tasked with achieving excellent customer service while consistently meeting sales goals.

Job duties involve contact with customers, including minors; and access to cash, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other items of value. Access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company reviews criminal history to protect its operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship
• Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
• Ability to retrieve material from shelves and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willing to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
• Experience selling paint and related products
• Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
• Ability to communicate in more than one language, including Spanish
