Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager in enforcing Town Pump standards, policies and procedures.
• Assist with pricing, inventory, merchandising, store appearance and cleanliness, promotions, invoicing, cigarette store maintenance, shelf tags, and vendor control.
• Serve as acting store manager during the manager's absence and fill in for absent employees, especially on tills or in the deli.
• Assist with employee scheduling and completion of paperwork including books and cashier duties.
• Advise the store manager of personnel situations or policy violations influencing store operations.
• Prioritize, organize, delegate, and follow up on assigned shift tasks; maintain cleanliness of cashier lanes, shelves, and stock areas.
• Order products, ensure accurate pricing, maintain product inventory, displays and signage, and manage cigarette ads and contracts.
• Conduct preventive store maintenance and basic repairs; promote store safety; handle administrative tasks including bookkeeping, payroll, and daily bank deposits.
• Supervise staff training and onboarding as directed by the manager.
• Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service, setting an exemplary standard for teamwork and professionalism.
