Job description

Town Pump is looking for a motivated and outgoing Store Assistant Manager to join our team. Town Pump is a growing company, with increasing opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the store manager in enforcing standards, policies, and procedures.
2. Help achieve and maintain product pricing, inventory, store appearance, cleanliness, signage, promotions, invoicing, and vendor control.
3. Serve as acting store manager during the manager’s absence and fill in for absent employees, especially on tills or in the deli.
4. Assist with employee scheduling, paperwork, cashier duties, and other administrative tasks.
5. Advise the store manager on personnel issues or policy violations.
6. Prioritize, organize, delegate, and follow up on shift tasks; maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store environment.
7. Order products, ensure accurate pricing, and maintain inventory and displays.
8. Conduct basic store maintenance and promote safety.
9. Supervise staff training, scheduling, and assist with new employee onboarding.
10. Greet customers, provide exceptional service, and set a professional example for staff.
