• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and short correspondence.

• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions.

The Opportunity

Under the supervision of the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk provides customer service and performs various tasks within the bakery.

The Bakery Clerk offers friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers in the bakery. They assist customers with bakery purchases, clean shelving and display cases, and work with the baker to determine which items need baking or decorating. They also help in cleaning the department by hosing down floors with soap and water to ensure cleanliness.

A Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all positions involving food preparation, handling, and serving.
