What You'll Bring:

• Ability to read and write in Spanish/English and interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity:
Under direct supervision, the Meat Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service. Responsibilities include assisting customers, cleaning shelves and display cases, filling and rotating the Meat Wrap displays, and working with customers to take special orders. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stand, and stoop for prolonged periods.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.

Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
