Candidates should possess the ability to:

• Read and write in Spanish and English, interact effectively with the general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

It Would Be Extra Awesome if You Brought...

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate

The Opportunity:

Under direct supervision, the Meat Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service. Assists customers, cleans shelves and display cases, and works with the Meat Cutter to determine which items need to be cut. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., and stand, bend, and stoop for prolonged periods.

The environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, with physical requirements including lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling. For more information, including accommodations, please refer to the complete job description in-store.

Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all food-related positions.
