Candidates should possess the ability to:

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Tortilleria Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills, and rotates tortilla displays, and helps in making a variety of tortillas and masa for the department.

The environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store. Essential functions include physical activities such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements. Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all food-related positions.
