The Opportunity

Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, the BakeryClerk provides customer service and conducts various tasks within the bakery.

The Bakery Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpfulservice to the Bakery department. They will assist customers with bakerypurchases, clean shelving and display cases. Cleans, fills, and rotates theself serve displays that are both in the front of the store and adjacent to thestore bakery. The Bakery Clerk will work with customers to take special orders.They will also work with the Baker to determine which items may need to bebaked or decorated. This position will also help in the department cleaning byhosing down the floors with soap and water to ensure the departmentcleanliness.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocerystore, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements suchas lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditoryrequirements.
