Candidates should possess the ability to:

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and short correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate

The Opportunity:

Under direct supervision, the Tortilleria Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean, fill, and rotate tortilla displays, as well as assist in making a variety of tortillas and masa for the department.

The environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store. Essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements. Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all positions related to food preparation, handling, and serving.
