Job Description
Storage Sales Specialists are product, services, software and solution specialists responsible for leading pursuit in their assigned territory. They collaborate with and support Account Generalists and provide storage expertise within the sales team. They drive proactive campaigns to build the pipeline and use specialized knowledge to prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities. This position focuses on large enterprise accounts in the Northeast Territory.
How You\'ll Make Your Mark
- Responsible for sales of storage products and solutions in the assigned territory, industry or accounts.
- Seek out new opportunities through prospecting, industry networking and events.
- Develop pursuit plans and build and manage the storage sales pipeline.
- Direct and coordinate supporting sales activities related to pipeline hygiene through account managers, presales, channel partners and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate across HPE teams to deliver a consistent approach to developing business, including account planning for end-to-end solutions.
- Assess solution feasibility from technical and business perspectives to qualify or disqualify opportunities.
- Negotiate profitable deals to expand opportunities based on the existing business and increase the company\'s footprint and revenue in storage.
- Drive sales of the Storage portfolio, using leadership and initiative to prospect, negotiate and close deals.
- Focus on and work with the channel to forge relationships, provide enablement of key technologies, and co-sell to end-users.
- Lead, evangelize, and coordinate Storage marketing campaigns (digital and new techniques) to ensure successful launches and campaign momentum, aligned with the account strategy.
- Act as a trusted storage solutions consultant for slated accounts/region.
- Reinforce and articulate HPE\'s strategy and portfolio to partners and champions to uncover new business opportunities and contacts, including new logos when appropriate.
- Use references to craft stories that explain complex technologies in simple terms for customers.
- Generate customer interest and understand buying trends. Link business and financial benefits with technology offerings and illustrate ROI and TCO advantages of HPE offerings for the customer\'s business.
About You - Education and Experience
- Proven ability to communicate both technical and business value of HPE solutions to stakeholders at all levels—from end users to executive leadership.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with a wide range of business customers.
- Self-motivated and able to quickly learn and adapt in dynamic environments.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise or commercial sales with a consistent track record of success.
- History of exceeding sales quotas and performance targets.
- Expertise in working within an indirect channel sales model.
- In-depth competitive knowledge of at least one major storage vendor.
- Solid understanding of IT datacenter market dynamics, including current trends and emerging technologies.
- Extensive experience selling data lifecycle management solutions, including block and file storage, backup, ransomware protection, and related technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive go-to-market execution and customer success.

Salary (U.S. based): USD $189,500.00 - $445,500.00 annually. The range reflects base salary and target-level sales compensation for sales roles and may vary by location, experience, and skill.
