Storage Management Consultant - cDOT Storage (ONTAP) (Remote - East or Central Coast)

Storage Management Consultant – cDOT Storage (ONTAP) (Remote – East or Central Coast)

We are seeking a Storage Management Consultant for a global B2B technology company. The role involves defining and building proof of concepts to demonstrate the client’s capabilities within the customer environment, and assisting customers in developing operational processes focused on reliability, security, and performance.

This is a 4-month contract (with likely extensions), a 40-hour/week remote position in the US (East or Central Coast). It is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee, offering health benefits and a 401K plan. Travel to the main site on the East Coast or Texas may be required approximately once a quarter, with client-provided T&M.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in architecting and integrating NetApp storage into various virtual computing environments.
• Consult on system design and behavior.
• Manage support cases, including:
• Supporting background processes
• Using internal tools like Smartsolve to advance support cases
• Researching and resolving support questions in a timely manner

• Troubleshooting issues related to performance and configuration, including Webex sessions with Verizon to troubleshoot configurations and determine whether issues are with NetApp, RedHat, or VMWare.
• Assisting with system upgrades, including prechecks and documentation.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of ONTAP
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Ansible, Go)
• Database experience for reporting and operational capabilities (desired)
• Strong Kubernetes and VMWare skills
• Expertise in system reliability and storage performance
• Cloud platform experience (desired)
• Knowledge of system architecture for large-scale environments (desired)
