Job summary

Axians is seeking a Storage Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. You will manage and secure enterprise storage platforms, primarily Ceph and GPFS/IBM Storage Scale, ensuring high availability and performance across critical systems.

You will monitor capacity, support backup and disaster recovery, and drive automation and improvements to storage technology across European institutions projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise storage environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Ceph and GPFS in production environments.
  • Solid understanding of storage operations, monitoring and capacity management.
  • Experience with backup/recovery, data protection and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support enterprise storage platforms, ensuring stability, security and high availability.

We are seeking a Storage Infrastructure Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support enterprise storage platforms, primarily Ceph and GPFS / IBM Storage Scale, ensuring they remain stable, secure, and highly available.
  • Proactively monitor storage usage, perform capacity planning, and help scale the environment to meet evolving business demands.
  • Support backup and recovery processes, contributing to data protection, resilience, and the recovery of critical systems when required.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize storage performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and overall platform health.
  • Drive the continuous evolution of the storage landscape by implementing enhancements, exploring automation opportunities, and supporting the adoption of new storage technologies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in enterprise storage environments, supporting business-critical infrastructure.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Ceph and/or GPFS (IBM Spectrum Scale / IBM Storage Scale) in production environments.
  • Solid understanding of storage operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity management.
  • Experience supporting backup and recovery solutions, with a good understanding of data protection and disaster recovery principles.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to support critical systems and contribute to the continuous improvement of storage platforms.
