Job summary

Ampcus, Inc. is seeking a Storage Engineer to help evaluate, certify, and integrate advanced storage platforms within enterprise environments.

The role focuses on product engineering, not daily operations, and requires hands-on experience with storage arrays and data protection tools. The candidate will work on PDLC documentation, contribute to engineering best practices, and collaborate across Windows and Linux environments while leveraging DevOps and SRE principles.

Qualifications

• Experience in an enterprise storage environment with PDLC documentation.
• Hands-on experience with Pure Storage FlashArray and Rubrik data protection products.
• Familiarity with Fibre Channel fabrics and storage networking.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux/UNIX operating systems; strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with DevOps practices and version control (GitLab or SVN).
• Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering concepts, SLIs/SLOs, and monitoring.

Storage Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Storage Product Engineer with a strong product engineering background to support the evaluation, certification, and integration of enterprise storage platforms. This role is best suited for candidates who have experience in product engineering, product testing, or code certification rather than day-to-day operational support. The ideal candidate will work within enterprise storage environments, validate new storage technologies, and contribute to product lifecycle documentation and engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Currently working within an enterprise-level storage environment.
• Hands-on experience with Pure Storage FlashArray block storage products and/or Rubrik r6000 series data protection products.
• Experience with Brocade G Series Fibre Channel fabric switches.
• Experience creating and maintaining Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) documentation for product evaluation and certification.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux/UNIX operating systems.
• Experience with I/O optimization, network stack tuning, and performance profiling.
• Understanding of designing reliable services using resilient architectures built from unreliable components.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and version control systems such as GitLab or SVN.
• Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts including:
  • User journeys
  • Service Level Indicators (SLIs)
  • Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
  • Synthetic monitoring/probers
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience engineering and supporting hybrid cloud storage environments with focus on data consistency between on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in one or more scripting languages:
• PowerShell

• Bash
• Experience following software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing best practices.
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms:
• AWS
• Microsoft Azure
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with VMware ESXi or other hypervisors.

• Experience with enterprise backup solutions such as:
