Job summary

U-Haul in Grants Pass, Oregon is seeking a Storage Customer Service Representative to be the face of our trusted service. You will assist customers with storage rentals, inspect and maintain equipment, and use up-to-date technology to dispatch and return gear.

The role includes on-the-job education, opportunities for advancement, and a welcoming team culture. Weekend and holiday availability is required; a fast-paced, customer-focused environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Excellent communication skills, both in person and on the phone.
• Available to work on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the site manager with facility operations.
• Answer phone inquiries from active and prospective customers.
• Show storage units, explain rental agreements, and prepare contracts.
• Perform general property cleanup and minor repairs.
• Ensure vacant storage units are clean, dry, secure, and ready for new customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Storage Customer Service Representative Primary Responsibilities

• Support the site manager with facility operations.
• Answer phone inquiries from active and prospective customers.

Storage Customer Service Representative Minimum Qualifications

• Driver’s license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record
• Excellent communication skills
• Available to work on weekends and holidays

Work Environment

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritating chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
