Nomura is seeking a Storage Automation Engineer to manage global data protection, archiving software, and hardware. You will ensure operations run consistently and data is backed up or archived within SLAs while providing guidance to peers.
The role requires extensive experience in traditional and software-defined storage, with a focus on enterprise backup solutions and cloud exposure, primarily AWS.
The Storage Automation Engineer will be responsible for managing the global data protection and archiving software and hardware. This includes ensuring operations run consistently and that data is backed up or archived within agreed service level agreements. The engineer will provide technical guidance to other members of the team or peers.
Ensure alignment for policy, process, procedures, software configuration and hardware types across all 3 regions. Maintain standard documentation and ensure adherence to the global standard is followed. Maintain 100% service uptime. Stay abreast of industry trends and business needs.
The candidate will be expected to have significant recent experience of administrating or building one or more traditional storage solutions and one or more software-defined storage solutions. The candidate is preferred to have experience of enterprise backup solutions.
