Job summary

AGE Solutions is seeking a SAN Administrator to engineer, administer, and support enterprise storage across on-premises and cloud environments for a DoD customer. You will design SAN architectures, manage Fibre Channel zoning, iSCSI, and NAS sharing, and ensure DR and backup readiness.

Candidate must have DoD IT experience, a current security clearance, and DoD 8570 IAT II certification. On-site work is required at multiple commutable locations in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Three years hands-on SAN management experience incl Fibre Channel zoning, iSCSI, FCoE, HBA/CNA, LUN/RAID, NAS sharing.
• Two years DoD IT systems experience.
• Current Top Secret or Secret clearance with Tier 5/SSBI adjudication.
• DoD 8570 IAT II security certification (CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH).
• One current certification from: AWS CSA Associate, AWS CSA Professional, GIAC GDSA, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, NetApp Certified Data Administrator, NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Implementation Engineer, NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Architect, NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Administrator, NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer - SAN Specialist ONTAP, NetApp Certified Technology Associate, Pure Certified Data Storage Associate, Pure Certified FlashArray Implementation Specialist, or Veritas Certified Specialist - NetBackup

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analysis, planning, design, and evaluation of enterprise SAN systems; tests and documents results.
• Administer and maintain enterprise SAN infrastructure; provide technical support and troubleshooting.
• Configure and administer storage arrays, fiber switches, HBAs/CNAs; manage LUN allocation with RAID config across FC, iSCSI, and FCoE.
• Manage data restore, DR, and backup ops using enterprise backup software; configure NAS sharing over CIFS, NFS, SMB.
• Perform storage analysis, capacity planning, performance planning, and preventative maintenance; troubleshoot storage issues and support new server integrations.
• Document procedures, participate in storage policy design and refinement, prepare reports on best practices and emerging technologies.

This role supports a Department of Defense customer requiring a Storage Area Network (SAN) Administrator to perform engineering, administration, and technical support for enterprise storage infrastructure across multiple on-premises and cloud environments.

What You'll Do

• Perform engineering analysis, planning, design, and evaluation of enterprise-level Storage Area Network systems; conduct tests and document results
• Administer and maintain enterprise SAN infrastructure, including storage arrays, fiber switches, and associated components; provide technical support and troubleshooting
• Configure and administer storage arrays, fiber switches, HBAs/CNAs, and manage LUN allocation with RAID configuration across Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and FCoE technologies
• Manage data restore, disaster recovery, and backup operations using enterprise backup software; configure file sharing on NAS devices over CIFS, NFS, and SMB protocols
• Perform storage analysis, capacity planning, performance planning, and routine preventative maintenance; troubleshoot storage issues and support new server integrations
• Document operational procedures, participate in storage policy design and refinement, and prepare reports on best practices and emerging technologies

What You Need

• Three years hands-on experience with enterprise SAN management including Fibre Channel zoning, iSCSI, FCoE unified fabric, HBA/CNA, storage controllers, LUN, RAID, and NAS file sharing
• Two years hands-on experience with Department of Defense IT systems
• Current Top Secret Clearance or Secret Clearance with favorably adjudicated Tier 5/SSBI investigation
• Compliant DoD 8570 IAT II security certification (CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH)
• One current certification from: AWS CSA Associate, AWS CSA Professional, GIAC GDSA, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, NetApp Certified Data Administrator, NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Implementation Engineer, NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Architect, NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Administrator, NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer - SAN Specialist ONTAP, NetApp Certified Technology Associate, Pure Certified Data Storage Associate, Pure Certified FlashArray Implementation Specialist, or Veritas Certified Specialist - NetBackup

$110,000+ annually, determined by years of relevant experience, active security clearance level, certifications, technical skillset, contract requirements, and overall qualifications.
