Please note that this position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.

We are seeking a Storage and Linux Systems Engineer to architect file and block storage solutions for Epic's infrastructure, software development, and testing processes. You will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for the design, deployment, testing, and evaluation of our storage architecture. Apply your technical skills and problem-solving abilities to develop and maintain a robust, reliable, high-performance foundation for Epic's internal server environments. Use your innovation and coding skills to create new storage solutions for internal Epic customers.

Desired Skills and Knowledge Areas:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience managing NetApp storage appliances serving CIFS/NFS shares
  • Experience with distributed object storage solutions (preferably MinIO)
  • Experience creating and maintaining automation tools for storage system administration and monitoring
  • Understanding of NTFS permissions and CIFS file locks
  • Experience managing Linux/Unix systems running critical services
  • Additional skills that are a plus include:
    • Bash scripting or similar
    • Experience with Dell EMC, Pure, NetApp Aff, or IBM FlashSystem
    • Fibre Channel storage administration
    • Cisco MDS switches
    • VMware vSphere
    • Veritas NetBackup
    • Commvault
